Name: Andrew Putranagara

Hobbies: making jokes, having fun, laughing, laughing louder, and even louder

Height: 179

Weight: 63 ("Andre didn't want to give it out? No wonder. Haha.")

Andrew is best described as a comic character going out of the book: he's lively and jovial. During the interview, he vehemently denied that 'Putranagara' was a part of his name, despite the fact that official record said so. "I seriously don't know I ever had such a name," he said, "It's soooo old-fashioned. And I'm not old fashioned."

I don't know if that's really old fashioned. But anyway, talking about fashion, he never restricted his idea in fashion, that's for sure. Selecting a broad range from pink to bright yellow ("I don't do traditional stuffs though."), he showed who he is from what he wore. A true urban, a confident joker.

Andrew, together with his best friends ("BFFs? Err... Better not use that.") Andre, his gang mate Ricky and Jim, will portray how some lucky people had too much fun they forgot the unlucky ones. How laughter, at times, hid and ignored the sad side of reality... Are you laughing that kind of laugh?

Characters: Ricky, The Cool Mystery

"We formed the friendship on the basis of similar interests," Ricky said when asked why Jim, Andre, Andrew and he himself is in the same group. They were usually seen together in school. He refused to give out personal details like Andre did (he even refused to give out his full name).

In a brief fifteen minutes chat session with Ricky, we had an exchange of arguments about culture.

"I never think of culture as something important," Ricky said, "The world changed. The world will keep on doing so. There's no point of preserving something."

Oh. Those are strong words, Ricky. I disagree with that. And for everyone to know, yes, he is cool, blatantly straightforward, and highly individualistic (even to his friends, sometimes).

The world moves fast. People got carried away by the changes. Some forwent all the good virtues of the old days. Others started thinking that friends and family are not as important anymore.

Are you one of them? Or are you the one with a solid identity, knowing who you are and where you stand?

Name: Andre Maximillian

Hobbies: sleeping, napping, lazying, notdoing anything, procrastinating, and laughing.

Height: 170 cm

Weight: undisclosed (quote: "I'm fit enuff...") ___________________________________________________

He was literally inseparable with Andrew during the interview. "We're like 'Bagai Pinang Dibelah Dua' as they say in Indonesian, or 'Like One Coconut Separated Into Two' in English," he said. (although there isn't such proverb in English, I hope you know what he meant)

His favourite drink is "Vodka, of course. Vodka." and he couldn't really think of any particular food that he really like to eat. And just before I got any other chance to ask him more questions, Andrew and him started digressing and laughing. (I felt left out, so I stopped the interview, and they laughed even harder)

Yes, that is Andre. Full of funny facial expressions and laughable gestures, he is a part of the big change going on in Merah Putih. A character that perhaps will remind us a bit of ourselves. Take this question in your mind: Will we be able to stand on our own? Or will we only be completing the echo of the mainstream?

Ladies and gentlemen, presenting to you... At the left side, with the very-bright-but-I-am-happy-to-wear-it yellow T-shirt is Andrew. Say hi, Andrew. And just next to him is his BFF (I know this is usually used by girls, but in this case, please make an exception), Andre. Say hi, Andre.

In a very nice interview, Andre and Andrew said that they have been friends for years. "Believe us," I quote, "We are going to entertain you."

Ah. Such sweet boys, aren't they?

What? Their status?
